Has your Google ads account been suspended? It’s an inconvenience to have your ads suddenly stop running especially if  Gooogle has a huge impact on your ability to generate leads and revenue for your business.

What adds to the frustrating is to receive an email that is very vague as to the reason why your account has been suspended. Google then sends you to a page that doesn’t answer any of your questions.  There are not many examples that help you identify which issue applies to your websites.

Over the last 15+ years, I have worked on helping many businesses both large and small to get their Google Ads’ account unsuspended. Sometimes it as simple as updating payment information. Other times it can be the words that are used to describe a product or service that Google doesn’t approve of. The list of issues Google will suspend your account for is lengthy.

Some of the advertising policy and penalties you can run into are:

  • Unfair advantage
  • Counterfeit Goods
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Copyrighted content
  • Adult-oriented content
  • Abuse of the ad network
  • Gambling-related content
  • Circumventing the system
  • Healthcare and medicines
  • Dangerous products or services
  • Irresponsible data collection & use
  • Offensive or inappropriate content
  • Editorial & professional requirements
  • Legal requirements & serving limitations
  • Misrepresentation of self, product, or service

I’ve written a guide that will help you answer some of the more common questions customers have about their suspension. Those included;

  • Common ad disapproval reasons.
  • Google shopping suspension reasons & solutions.
  • Google Grant suspension reasons and how to fix them.
  • Links to the right forms reinstatement forms based on your situation/violation.
  • How to respond to Google in order to get more information about your suspension.

You would be amazed at some of the things Google suspends account for and many of these reasons can easily overlook. I’ve come across some of the most bizarre reasons for account suspensions. What most people don’t understand is that Google looks at the page you are sending people to and that many violations begin on the site itself and not necessarily how the Google Ad account is set up.

This is NOT for Google Adsense just for Google Ads and I do not guarantee that this will clear up your problem. If Google has banned your site then there is nothing you can do to recover it. This guide is compiled based on my experiences with clearing up suspended accounts and unfortunately, not all suspended accounts are fixable.
